-more or less 10 years after I installed my [[GAP TITAN]], I measured that the resonnances were no longer where I expected them. So I took it down and tried to renovate it. So when you check an aluminium made antenna out of resonnance, you will quickly find that there is lots of aluminium oxide coating which is non conductive and hard to remove. So I decided to opt for a new antenna. My friend Bernd DJ6PA advised me to buy a HyGain AV-640 or AV-680 since he had made excellent experiences with this type and I trust Bernd, he's very experienced in these things, and his advice is generally absolutely accurate. -The installation of the fundaments was a bit tediuos, since we had to hammer out the old concrete fundaments first in order to fill in enough concrete for the new fundaments. But after all, everything was fine.
