The KS-900 is another device I bought over Ebay. It is a 2 watt UHF data transmitter well suited and designed to work for 9k6 packet radio. Since one of my plans is to set up a simplex Echolink station, also coupled to my ASUS WL-500GP via my BX-120 on the USB interface, I see that I need to change the quarzes to 430.025 or 430.050 MHz, since these two frequencies are assigned to Echolink operation according to the band plan.

Another option would be to use it with no modification at all and straight on as port for the packet radio digi I have set up now. The digi only operates as a receiving only APRS gateway, but may have transmitting options soon. We shall see. Though, these plans depend on the question whether I succeed in setting up a wifi link to my friends at DB0MHB.
