In order to control the output waveform of my transmitter's signal, I use a Kenwood SM-220 Station Monitor. It is actually a 10 MHz Osciloscope with some radio-specific electronics around. Especially notable is its ability to handle shortwave signal powers up to 2 kW, making it the perfect tuning controller for a Kenwood TL-922.
