My brother gave me a FONERA router which I will make into a WLAN link station soon. Here are the important links I have collected:

Hacking it is extremely simple. Just follow the instructions given here and connect a level shifter correctly and you will get access to the Redboot BIOS. The only little difficulty I ran into was to keep any kind of flow control switched off. If HW flow control should still be "on", you cannot write to the console and entering CTRL-C will not cause Redboot to come up.
