[http://www.atv-kolleg.de ATV-Kolleg] is a ATV content format designed to revolutionize Amateur Radio. Today, HAM radio is something that's associated with no more but awkward grandfathers in the public attention. Amateur Radio suffers from too little attention in younger generations, although it doesn't deserve that, because the potential is enormous. We want to unleash this potential.

We, the team around DB0MHB understand Amateeur Radio not as chatting activity and to a limited extent as a basis for strange group of people who are obsessed with electronic tubes and old radios. Instead we see Amateur Radio as a platform for people who don't take electronics and modern technology for granted. We see a borderless blend from electronics over to radio technology into computer science, but keep physics in perspective in general.

We, the team around DB0MHB understand Amateur Radio not as a boring occupation of old people but as a challenging way to approach modern technology. Radio is omnipresent, and so it is legitimate to query these technologies. To look into the black boxes to ask how stuff works. We see Amateur Radio as a platform for people who don't take electronics and modern technology for granted. We see a borderless blend from electronics over to radio technology into computer science, but keep physics in perspective in general.

Since we have a very fine ATV relay with a fantastic propagation across central Bavaria, and some more relays may be attached with links, we thought we could boost that with some non-professionally produced but premium quality content. The role model of the format is the popular channel [http://www.howstuffworks.com/ How Stuff Works].
